What does a movie have to do with the soundtrack for the book "Shadows of
Empire?" Music is used to evoke a mood in movies and it is used the same way
for the book.
A strict definition I was given recently is that Filk is music based on
Science Fiction books and stories. This person hated what "passed for filk"
in most of the filk rooms he has been in in the past 5 ot 6 years.
I don't know if the book soundtrack is filk, but I do know that your reasons
for saying it is not are much to shallow.
