i don't know about attributing coffee to much of anything but i can
relate that i used to dring anywhere from 5 to 7 _pots_ of coffee a day
when i lived "in the city"... my record for coding computer applications
was 240 _hours_... yes, 10 days straight... now, i can't even drink a
cup of hot chocolate without climbing the walls... totally forget about
smelling coffee or even having some sprinkled on my ice cream...

i've not seen a doctor for anything other than broken bones or sever
joiint problems since 1983 or so when i got out of the USAF... however,
from recent activities and measurements, i can see that i have high
blood pressure and i don't need a doctor to tell me about it... after a
recent strenous day, my heartbeat was 68 but my blood pressure, at rest,
was from 164 ver 110 to a low of 152 over 98...

now, understand that i smoke enough to not worry about how fast i drive
and i drive fast enough to not worry about how much i drink ;)

of course, that's all tongue in cheek... but with my oldest son's death
back at the end of janurary (at the age of 26) and my three
grand-children with a fourth on the way, things are slightly different
in my world... it wasn't that i never worried about my two boys but now,
with my grandmother being 103 years old and other things in my life, i
(finally?) see the light and am trying to get back into some sembalence
of "healthy"... with that, i have recently acquired a(n older) bowflex
machine and am roughly following the dietary recommendations as well as
the workout routine... however, i'm about to increase the workouts to
every day instead of just m,w,f... i'm in my 4th week of the "six week
program" and even though i can see some difference in my arms and legs,
(100lbs and 200+lbs workout weights) i'm after something a bit more... i
definitely have not lost 10 lbs yet of my goal of 30 lbs...

i will make it, despite R.L. interferrences and i will make it before
i'm 50... i want to hike the (entire) applachian trail again as well as
going back to (steamboat springs) colorado and possibly even meeting up
with my second love of my life that i met there when i was thru there
20+ years ago ;)

... Of course I'm on topic... Which echo is this anyway?
