I am constantly amazed at how little MS gets for its massive R&D
budget. Other commentators have remarked that more and more MS is looking
like the fossilized IBM of the late 80s, and I wouldn't disagree too
strongly.
I ran into a recently resigned MS MSN GM at the local bar recently, and he
opined that this paralysis hasn't escaped the notice of MS employees and
that as a result morale isn't that great.
