RM> Funny thing happened in a French cafe this morning. Me, J, J^2, RM> J^3, and my sister had lunch. J^3 (1yr old) was awake and RM> complaining, so we were the sort of people you *don't* want to RM> sit near in a cafe. The McNeill's from hell... the ones where the 3-yo takes a shine to me and offers to share her chockky ice cream while I'm trying to be sophisticated and swave with my dozen oysters. RM> Back at the counter, while I was paying, the owner/chef said to RM> me "I have to apologize, sir. I made a mistake while cooking RM> your crepes, and I didn't notice until it was all put together. RM> Instead of the Nile perch you ordered, I cooked crocodile." Was this in another life? Have you slipped a cog to the times of Ramases II? Nile perch? Crocodile! RM> Not damned bad. It was obscured somewhat by the dressing, but RM> was very much like rather chewy fish. Recommended. You missed one of the greatest opportunities of all time. If that had been me, I would have immediately vomitted in the till. You far north Qlders are strange... Nile perch? Is that anything like a cockie perch? ... FX: Pieces of eight! Pieces of eight! Awwk!
