Yep it is easy to go the "doom and gloom and what if's" path.
Luckily I don't go that route often, some crisis happens that pulls me
straight out of it.

Relented yesterday. My oldest son (who my mother doesn't like because he is
a boy) got into Uni for 2 degrees and is over the moon that he made it and
I HAD to ring her and gloat about how wonderful her eldest grand-son is.
