Otherwise you cannot be that interested! Take for example a retro echo which comes early in the ABC. Somebody started posting rules there, and declared himself moderator. Without prior notice in the echo and without any discussion with the echo participants. Also the claim that the echo was "dead" is simply false. I have rejoined fidonet in October 2015 - and had 61 messages in the area since then. (not including the discussion after the echo hijacking) For my it is obvious that any change of the echo status needs to be announced IN THE ECHO.
