This is true but on my FIC PT2006 with a Cyrix 166+ and Mitsumi 8X CD-ROM
with SP5 installed I had to have the drives continous --- i.e. primary master
(1 gig WDC), primary slave (3.1 gig WDC), and Secondary master (Mitsumi 8X
CD-ROM). Before SP5, I had only Warp 4.0 out of the box on because I
upgraded my Warp Connect 3.0 and was playing around with it. Under 3.0 I had
it configured as the 2 hard drives on the primary channel and the Mitsumi
CD-ROM as the slave on the secondary port. Then I installed SP5 on in the
machine refused to boot -- it took me several days to figure out why it would
not boot. Once I move the CD-ROM to the master on the secondary port
machine boot just fine. Once I installed SP6 I had the problem back again
but because I had to simular problem with SP5, I knew how to solve -- this
time only took 5 mins. Was able to create it with other Mitisumi CD-ROM's
but didn't try any other motherboard.
