  Hi Sherri,
We operate a word processing and desktop publishing business from our home.
We create newsletters using Microsoft Word 6.0 for Windows. It even comes
with some basic templates for newsletters. It'll do the 2 column, 3 column
formats with no problem at all.
You can probably find WPG graphic files on BBSes in your area. There is a
file called Highland.zip that contains lots of bibilical related graphics in
WPG format.
Over in the INK echo on Fidonet, there have been good reviews on MS
Publish, which is reported to cost about $70 if you shop around for it. One
person there reports she is using it for client work and getting paid for it.
If you use Word for your newsletters, you can print your drafts on the
Epson and take them to someplace like Kinko's to print on their high quality
systems at 600 dpi, which will be adequate for photocopy duplication.
We have an Epson Action Laser II here that still does great output, even if
it's only 300 dpi. Just be sure you use Epson toner cartridges, the refills
have never worked well for us.
  Be seeing ya!
