I was wrong about Betsy. It didn't get that far north, but veered to the
east because of more high pressure systems coming in from the northwest.

RW> All of that is available online somewhere.

I had a hunch it might be. The program I have for tracking them contains
all of the past storm data.

RW> I was never concerned with hurricanes as long as I lived in San Diego.

That's where my youngest son went to boot camp in the corps. I didn't get
to fly out for his graduation. Southern CA is one place I've always wanted
to visit.

The winds aren't all that bad (an understatement) until you get the
sustained winds near the eye wall of a hurricane. Those can be from 75
MPH+ and a living nightmare.

RW> What ever happened to the regional echoes, nobody posting there?

Not a lot of chatter in those right now. Maybe I should protest to the
R19C and the others there. (-:

RW>RN> Joe's mother died on August 21.

RW> My condolences to Joe.

Thanks. He'll appreciate that. His parents are up in age and awhile back
they both fell. His dad broke both hips and wasn't expected to survive the
operation to repair. His mother fell about a month or so later and wasn't
nearly as bad off. His dad is still convalescing.

RW> But Ike is still on the path to Texas.

If you look at that site I sent you, it's projected path is headed right at SATX.

RW> Kewl...

Yeah, I like it that way, which is why I try to keep things simple here.
That makes it easier to track down any problems that pop up from time to
time.

Regards,

Roger
