This place shows some recent posts in select echos (FTSC_PUBLIC, HAM,
WIN95, LINUX, and a few others) ..but many have stopped archiving many
years prior:
http://www.fidonet.itu.se/echomail/
Useful for browsing for a few messages from the past. But the coverage is
inconsistent. Many other echos are listed but inaccessible.
No Search feature. :(
The following link is a nice summary of FirstMessage Dated and LastMessage
Dated per echo to save wasting time with hit-n-miss clicks:
http://www.fidonet.itu.se/echomail/cmd/info
Nevertheless, it's an interesting "way back machine" + "some recent posts"
effort by: Michael Cronsten, Fidonet: 2:205/412
The display is sparse, but makes efficient use of screen space, no fancy
html filler for beauty, and a small font.
