On Jun 28 Wavemaker walked on stage, wiggled said hiney and
spoke to the members of alt.tv.star-trek.next-gen:
W :The Starfleet admiral and the inspector in this ep, did they show up
W :later in "Conspiracy"?
Yes. CoA was on Stardate 41416.2 and Conspiracy on 41775.5 .
Admiral's name was Gregory Quinn, the Kenneth Starr inspector was
Lieutenant Commander Dexter Remmick.
::wonders if every guy called Dexter is irritating::
W :Was the attempt of some outside force to influence Starfleet
W :the admiral was talking about a foreshadowing of the
W :aliens we later saw?
Possible. I though Quinn lied to make Remmick's investigation
of Picard look genuine.
W :The story with Wesley was ok. I liked the psych test where he had to
W :confront his fear over making life and death decisions.
What do you reckon was Worf's greatest fear as his psychological
profile revealed?
W :
W :Heh, does anyone remember the remark one of the other Starfleet applicants
W :made about Wesley? She said, "You'd be obnoxious if you weren't so cute." Is
W :this the only time the word obnoxious was used to describe Wesley in the
W :series?
You wish.
W :The mild criticism by the inspector that the crew were too familiar with
W :each other is something I think is true. But then he added that this comes
W :through team work and a sense of family, which I think is true as well. :-)
What makes people work together in such close confines is "espirit de
corps" and emotional closeness.
W :
W :This was a first season ep, and it's one of the very first eps that I think
W :has that TNG feel about it, if you know what I mean. The actors really
W :seemed to be at home with their characters and with each other.
Indeed.
I'm glad this was not a Season 4 ep, Remmick would have enough evidence
to courtmartial based on Picard's assimilation.

"*I* would call that "a lapse in judgement" (Dexter Remmick)
