RW>If that's what you want then more power to you. It's
RW>your right to vote for anyone you want. How ever you
RW>still need to look at it realistically. Either Dole or
RW>Clinton is going to win in November. Which one of the
RW>two (neither is NOT an option) would you want to see in
RW>office? Someone who might sign a bill repealing the
RW>weapon ban or someone who wouldn't sign it even if
RW>doing so would keep him from the fires of hell?
If Klinton and Dole were the only options, then I wouldn't be voting at
all. I'm sure that this type of argument has been going on for many
years through all elections. And the two sides are saying the same
thing. Besides, do you really think that Dole/Kemp are going to support
the repeal of the Assault Weapons Ban? Just look at their track
records. Flip-Flop city! I can't count on them doing anything to fix
what Klinton has broke. I don't know what Dole and Kemp have up their
sleves. At least for Klinton, you know what he's going to try and you
can counter it, ie. health care, etc. I comes down to the devil you
know or the devil you don't know.
RW>DS> don't see him as any better than Klinton. I'm hoping that
RW>I do. For one thing he will want to get his VP elected
RW>in 2000 and therefore he will want to keep the
RW>republican voters happy. Seeing as most pro gunners
RW>are republicans that will mean, in the very least, not
RW>voting for more gun control.
Well sure, every president would like to see their VP get elected as
president. Thats a given. And true, Most Republicans are pro-gun. To
a point. Key word being *most*. They tend to sway with the wind when
it comes to those dreaded assault weapons. The Republicans have
become too *politicly correct* for me. Go find 100 Libertarians and ask
them if their pro-gun (all guns) or not. I bet you'll find that there
is a higher percentage of Libertarians that are pro-gun than the
Republicans. Not because they're more radical or hardcore. But because
they're less political in nature. And since the biggest problem is too
much Gov't, I'm aligning myself with the Libertarians.
RW>RW> Remember: Freedom isn't Free!
RW>DS> True! But are you willing to pay the price?
RW>I have. I do. I will. Have you? Do you? Will you?
A simple "Yes" would have been enough. :) As for me, I use the standard
military response: I will not ask you to do anything that I am will not
willing to do myself.
