 The last time I spoke to Keith Richardson he was monitoring his
ports while connected to the Net, and was getting a hit every 20 
minutes. That's 72 hits a day when he wasn;t expectign anything, and
one of those could be crap. Is it paranoid it they're *really* trying
to get at you?

 The thing that started this, was a nice-lady spin doctor on TV,
representing Microsoft and admitting that they'd built in a back door
to XP! But they'd fixed it...

 Let me ask you. You're the NSA in America, and you measure your
computer capacity by the acre. You monitor every telephone
conversation on Planet Splong because you're more paranoid than Bob,
and you have all these subversives (human beings) on the planet all
hooked up on the Net...

 What would you do? Remember, you're more paranoid that Bob. You
think that Bin Laden is a real threat to America. You tapped Jane
Fonda's phone because you thought she worked for Ho Chi minh; you
banned encryption algorithms that were too good...

 Wouldn't you ask nice Mr Gates to build a few back doors into
Windows? Infact, wouldn;t you promise him that he';d never have to
worry about the antitrust laws if he did?

 Jeeze! I would...but then I'm almost as paranoid as the average
American.

 I even believe that Johnny Howard had made Australia a target for
terrorism, but there you go... I must be wrong. I trust my government.
