KC :> How is it that they were able to send up a probe transmitter, but
KC :>not some spaceship(s) to carry the population to resettle another planet?
SC :
SC :
SC :They didn't have the technology or resources. Think about it: which
SC :could Earth do at our present stage of development, build a single
SC :long-range probe or build enough spaceships to carry six billion people?
Well six bil will take a long time to accomodate, but knowing how the US
threw itself into industrialization to win WWII, it can be done with lots
of effort.
My point is, it wouldn't be hard for the K'tan to build a vessel for two
or three families to escape elsewhere. WHO gets to go, is another story.
KC :> Shammie do you know if anything happens, or just that the camera
KC :>leaves him in his quarters?
SC :

SC :Shammie just whispered in my ear as she was giving me a back massage
SC :that the camera just leaves him in his quarters.
*hears Sham ROFL*
Did not. Kamala aint no slave.
SC :Then again, you might get zapped with Fiver's lifespan. Think of the
SC :nightmares.

There was a movie about virtual reality tech that I found very kewl, it's
called "Strange Days" with Ralph Fiennes.
