Hi!

This isn't B5 related but maybe someone can help.

Is there a website or discussion group where one can go to describe a
book one started to read, but now can't remember the name, and see if
anybody else recognizes it?

Here's mine. it's at least 20 years old.

The book opens with a blacksmith putting the finishing touches on a
sword and dagger set. As you may be aware, metal is sometimes
"tempered" by inserting the hot blade into water. in this case the
smith tempers the sword by skewering a bound prisoner with it, and
tempers the dagger by beheading another prisoner.

Does this right a bell for anybody? Or is there another place to go
where i can ask?

Thank you!

I was gratified to be able to answer promptly, and I did.
I said I didn't know.
