Well, I couldn't quilt for about a week or week and a half. Really a pain -
in more ways than one. Luckily it was just badly bruised, and I am back to
doing whatever I want to with it now. No more pain in it since Thursday of
last week.

I made Christmas stockings for our kids (and the neighbor's great
granddaughter who is 3). I found a pattern in an old magazine, and it was
ut
of strips. I had a ton of scraps and cut them into strips, then sewed them
n
a muslin background, then cut the stockings from the muslin/strip fabric.
Then I used lots of fancy stitches on my Bernina to decorate the strips. Had
lots of fun doing that.
I have finished a cat quilt top, and need to get it sandwiched and quilted
this weekend. Meant to do it this weekend, but the time got away - DH
surprised me in a big way. My 40th Birthday was Tuesday, and he made
reservations for the Boulder Dinner Theatre for us for Saturday night. They
were playing Phantom of the Opera, and did a really great job of it. I loved
it! I saw so many neat ideas in both the dresses that the actresses wore,
nd
that the other people who were there that night wore. I'm gonna have to put
some of these ideas down on paper so I don't forget them.
I am also doing a table runner, a potholder, a stove towel, and napkins for
DH's sister/family. I am taking a class tomorrow night to learn how to
decorate the napkins and have been piecing blocks for one side of the above
items. Still have over half to do on these.
This should keep me busy for awhile.
