I havn't noticed any unusual scarring.

That's interesting. I aquired the Ruger from a fellow who needed money to
pay his rent. I don't know why, but I've kept it all these years.

I aquired a nearly new Colt Python .357 magnum in the same way. Put it in
a gun shop on consignment and the proceeds nearly paid for my brand new,
nickle plated, Colt .45 model 80.

OTH, a new TV program about Guns on the History Channel last night,
suggested that cops prefer the 17 shot autos to revolvers, because of the
firepower and faster reloading. Jams didn't seem to scare them.
