Unfortunately, that's the way it is turning out...likewise, COM/IP is mostly
reliable, but as with most such documentation of the sort, it presumes that
you know how to configure it before you can read how to configure it.

I'm picking up some indications of something being available out of the
former USSR that is in use, but my Russian skills are weak at best...and that
mostly from bits and pieces picked up from a relative born and raised in a
Polish emigre family.

A message indicates that the authors of ARGUS made an effort to contact Scott
Dudley on interoperability, but I've only one side of the story, so I won't
go further into details.
However, I am in contact with someone at RIT Labs, and we're going to see if
we can't come up with something...no promises.
