Not all ATM's are always net-connected-many still dial-in to a regional
switch. Depending on the line protocol implementataion that portion may be
as solid as they come.

Now, since a number of the newer ATM's I've seen deployed are using some
form of Embedded Windows, well, you hope their QA testing is rock-solid
also.
