Hi all,
four wheel drives are beginning to worry me. I'm starting to
feel like a motorbike rider.
Almost every time I park in a shopping mall, I come out with another
scratch and they're all high. Today, I got two! As soon as I saw the
parking lot with the only empty space beside me, I knew I'd been hit,
and they'd driven off. Twice, as it turned out... and this is after
I'd parked hard against a pillar on one side, and placed the car so
that anyone coming in or out went the other way! They must have come
into the space, probably hit the other car, and then swung over to
back out and hit me!
The car is 15 years old and I'm past caring about a few scratches,
but I had planned to buy a 200SX thsi year, and if someone scratched
my brand-new SX I'd have to kill them. Now I'm tempted to buy *two*
cars - the SX for driving and a Hilux truck for parking.
To cap it all, coming home a 4WD (no-brain driver) came out on my
right to make a right-turn, through a stop sign, and when I made a
miracle crash stop and actually missed him (the Skyline always had
good brakes), the dickhead blew his horn and gave me the finger! He
thought he had right of way! - through a stop sign, making a
right-turn...
He must have missed the stop sign (as you do, when you have no
brain) and assumed he had right of way at a roundabout, having missed
the fact that it wasn't a roundabout.
If he'd hit me, I might have been hurt when his bull bar came
through my window at head-height. *He'd* have been all right, though.
Maybe I'll buy a dump truck, so I can dump on these useless bastards
with *real* momentum.
I begin to see why American drivers carry a Colt .45 automatic in
the glove box. Maybe I'll find a security guard and get a gun of my
own. It's a great idea arming security guards... that way, you don't
have to bother with a licence fee, or a gun shop.
Regards,
Bob
