That was a nasty one for sure. One of the only ones Mom actally evacuated us
out from. Came home and the water was up to the windowsills inside. We'd
dismantled the gransfather clock (300 years old?) and had it on her bed with
plastic covers then raised her bed up on blocks. antique chair next to it
(Family history tracks Martha Washington once sat in it).
Booked ass for high ground that time.
