Ben and Jim,

I regularly use a Limited Users Account in XP and only use a Admin
account for Windows Updates and a few other things that 'require' a
Admin account to use the software.

Two weeks ago I logged on to the XP Admin account and got a report
message from Spybot Search & Destroy that a McAfee file shouldn't be
used in my computer and Spybot wanted to delete it.

I didn't click the OK button to let Spybot do it, IIRC I logged off and
Logged back on to the Admin account and I went to McAfee Support and
sent a comment about that to them.

I was in a Chat Session with a Technician, and I was told that
Third Party Security Software, such as Spybot S&D would cause the McAfee
Security Suite (provided by AT&T) that I have on my computer, not to
work properly if any other Security Software is being used on the
computer.

Later, I allowed the Tech. remote access and he found bad registry
values for the McAfee software and suggested that I Uninstall the McAfee
Security Suite and Download and Install a new copy of it.

He also suggested that I Remove Spybot S&D, SUPERAntiSpyware and
Malwarebytes from the computer before installing the new copy of their
program.

The past two weeks I have been using my XP box as he suggested, just to
see if I notice anything happening that shouldn't be going on.

I know I could stop using McAfee and begin using either AVG, Avira,
Comodo or one of several of other free Security programs instead of
McAfee's, and I might do it.

In another echo I was told McAfee was number 14 on a list back in April.

I'll keep the 'test' going on for a little while longer.
