DD> There is an extracter fan installed in the bin - it draws air DD> down through the pan and shoves it up a "chimney". And that works? (AMAZE). If you'd like to run your hand around your computer box, you'll find that the "extractor" fan blows lots of extra air out of all the little nooks and crannies, quite apart from out the back like it's meant to do. DD> Flushing toilets use incredible amounts of water (which makes a DD> big difference when one has to catch every drop from the roof). Yair... if it's yellow, let it mellow; if it's brown flush it down. It amounts to ten litres per person per day. In a metropolis, the use per person is roughly 20-times that (200 litres per day). DD> A dry composting toilet produces far less pollutants that must DD> be disposed of. Eh? What goes in, comes out. It doesn't matter if you compost with e. coli it or use a different kind of bacteria to break it down. The only difference with a septic tank is that it's designed to leak into the soil, driven by pure water every time you flush. It's the same old shit... unless being politically correct removes pollutants from what otherwise is brown and smelly (well seasoned, with a touch of garlic).
