Hello David,
LL>> Thunberg, 16, denounced world leaders on Monday for failing to tackle
LL>> climate change in a speech at the start of a climate summit at the
LL>> United Nations in New York.
LL>> She started solitary weekly protests outside Swedish parliament a year
LL>> ago. Inspired by her, millions of young people poured onto streets
LL>> around the world last Friday to demand governments attending the summit
LL>> take emergency action.
DD> And fuck all will come of it. Virtually all of those young people do not
DD> have the right to vote yet.
Americans (those in the USA) have the right to vote at age 18.
Although I do agree with you the right to vote should be lowered
to something far less. Such as the day one is born. But that
is another issue for another day. Especially since those who are
yet unborn would still not have a right to vote ...
DD> When they do things may change.... but I won't be holding my breath.
Once upon a time Americans made it happen. They actually voted
for hope and change. Only to find out it was all an illusion ...
DD> Money is more important than the ecology, or the people... or anything.
She is touring Mount Rushmore now. And visiting Native Americans.
And really having a day. At somebody else's expense.
Don't you wish you had a daddy who owned a sailboat and other fancy
toys? Just think of all the wonders you would get to see ...
