Hi Mathieu,
I've been busy freaking out about a place to live and new jobs, as well as
getting on the internet and going crazy looking around. Anyway, I thought
I'd DL last month's messages from this echo. ADSR was invented before
the 80's. It came with the first Moogs. In fact, FM wasn't even invented by
the "FM" synthesizers. They (Chowning) only figured a way to emulate it
digitally. You can get radical FM sounds on an ARP 2600 that the Yamaha
stuff, and Fairlight, etc., can't touch. The only problem is, an ARP 2600 is
monophonic. :) So, you sample it.
I still intend to find a way to get you a version of "Jump" digitized and
sent over the net. I'm still freaking out though.
