I have a new Hayes Smartmodem 2400B. I 'm trying to put this modem into a IBM 
PC. (Old Pc) I selected com 2. The modem is in the center slot in the back of 
the machine. I have used a 1200 external, every thing worked fine. I changed 
my comm setting to reflect the new speed. When I type AT nothing happns, I do 
not get to OK. the modem will call out, but will not connect totaly.
