One can't 'know' better when they get to the grocery store. The other
stores are in cahoots with them and probably charge the same prices for
the same goods.

If you go through a broker, you're going to get hosed by their fees. If
you don't go through a broker, you can't buy or sell.

Funny how the banks will spend the time to make a phone call when you owe
a payment, but won't bother when your checks start bouncing; then they use
the slow poke express, Pony Express or the US Mail.

Of course it isn't a penalty. It's the cost of doing business with a bank.
If you have a lot of money in the bank, they invest it and rake in the
profits, but only pay you a pittance for the use of it.
