Afraid I can't help you with the ADAT recorder.  I'm still using Otari
and Tascam analog reel recorders.  Although I'm happy with them, I need
an 8-track and have decided to plunge into digital within the next
couple of weeks.  So I'm riding the learning curve this week on the ups
and downs of digital, trying to decide between the Alessis ADAT and the
Tascam DA-88.  The lower entry price and saturation of the ADAT makes it
appealing, but I'll want more than 8-tracks soon.  Once the cost of the
BRC is added on, the Tascam starts to look more cost efficient.  That
