Sounds good and stable then.

Hmmm... I checked out SUNY's online and didn't find anything of interest.
hey
give discounts on compilers for telecourses too? I wonder if ZDNet University
would count? I was thinking of learning C++ and Java there...

Gee, that's great! I think I'll look into that. Thanks for the tip!

Oh... ok. I remember that part. I have saved many "ANSI" type C programs (ie.
no classes, etc.) as "*.CPP" in Borland C++ 3.1 and found it goofs up so I
ad
to do some extern "C" if using stuff from SNIPPETS or anything saved with the
"*.C" extension. Minor nuisence. Since I just stick to ANSI C for now, but I
often like BC++'s interface, online help and color syntax highlighting
(sometimes I do go back to QC25 or even Power C if need be). I also like some
of the Borland-specific text-mode functions other compilers sometimes don't
have included in there. Only thing I don't like is the BGI. It's so
non-portable. :( I mean, I don't mind a little* unportability but something
like that makes you have to totally re-write things for other compilers.
I was hoping I'd have time to make a more portable graphics library but I
started and never got to it. I had a very good one for VESA made for Power C
and I (like an idiot) deleted it and never shared it with anyone. I wish I
hadn't since I could have used stuff from it (like my fill routine). Now I
have to start over.
