If only there were some other intellectual property tool that allowed a
corporation to protect a *mark* that they used in their *trade*au|

Instead the Rat has twisted copyright into a pardoy of it's original intent. 
Instead of encouraging creative authorship, it's become a way for corporations
to rob the public domain for generations.
