Villeneuve denies BAR link

(7-Jul-98) - World champion Jacques Villeneuve has denied that he has
decided to drive for the new BAR team next season.

Sources have insisted that the Canadian is on the verge of signing for the
team set up by his former manager Craig Pollock but Villeneuve has said,
"I don't know yet. Next year is a big question mark for now. I don't
know what I'm doing yet, and there is no deadline."

It is believed that Villeneuve's contract doesn't allowed to sign for
another team until a certain undisclosed date. That date though, is
believed to be imminent.
