I don't agree that ceasing to sell VB 6 is equivalent to telling customers
that they can no longer use it to maintain their products. Many people
maintain their products using older versions of software development tools
that are no longer being sold. In fact, it's usually the prudent thing to
do ("If it's not broken don't fix it."). You use new tools for
new development.
