Here, too. But the UV Index doesn't depend on the temperature. It does
depend on the angle of elevation of the sun in the sky, which would be
highest at the summer solstice, and also on things like ozone depletion
and atmospheric haziness, both of which would tend to let more UV through
a bit *before* the summer solstice.
Incidentally, you can take a look at the website that is run by The
Weather Network, which is Canada's weather-specialist TV channel. The
address is www.theweathernetwork.com. I imagine that the UV indices in
various Canadian cities would be quoted there.
