Sorry for butting in, here's what I use and its excellent.
SCID210.ZIP (freq SENTRY) - SHAREWARE [143 kb]
Sentry-CID v2.10 for DOS and OS/2. Sentry (or SCID) reads your mailer's
logfile (both U.S. and Canadian formats), verifies the Caller-ID data to
the best of its abilites and logs on or barricades users. Sentry v2 now
includes a powerful new-user validator which allows users to be verified
on-line eliminating the need for kludgy call-back verifiers. Among it's
many features is even an option to update your system clock! (Auto-Login
and New User Validation available only for Maximus).
Last-minute release: Validator and Updater are now functional in the
                        unregistered version!

The OS2 version works fine with Binkley (XE) and Maximus.
File is Freq'able here by anyone.
