I suppose you're right, but I try not to ask questions which would spoil
any technological secrets which you might be keeping. For example, skeletal
animation: if you said "yes, it's in the game," it wouldn't be a tremendous
shocker (it's in Jedi Knight and Half-Life) - neither would "no," for that
matter. But if you have some miracle engine that lets you run with
astounding graphics on only a P60, then yes, keep that one secret.
But I really wonder why you people tend to be so tight-lipped. We knew
practically everything about Quake II (right down to why coloured lighting
wouldn't work in the V1K renderer - my brother asked Mr. Carmack that one
personally) by the time it came out, and the experience hasn't been spoiled.
Also, their competition (including you) hasn't steam-rolled them over yet.
Of course, I hope that with Duke Forever and Prey, you'll do that... at
least, until Trinity comes out.
