Agreed. I've had better luck with sylpheed and claws-mail than thunderbird on
my Rasps - both require far fewer resources than Tbird. Obviously slrn/pine
are even leaner still.
It's also dead simple to get leafnode running on a rasp, which turns your box
into a local caching news server for any other client you want to point at it.
Use cron to have it update periodically and you're good to go.
