-=> Quoting Rich Willbanks to Don Shoebridge <=-
RW>Having said that you have to look at the election this
RW>way. Either you are voting to keep Clinton in office
RW>or you are voting to elect Dole. There are no other
RW>true choices. If you vote for and support someone
RW>other then Dole and Clinton wins then you effectively
RW>voted FOR Clinton. Think about who is on Bill's side;
RW>the Brady's, Finsten and the rest.
DS> No I don't have to look at it *that way*. If I wanted
RW> You don't have to look at it that way but, as Walter
RW> Cronkite used to say, that's the way it is.
Walter Cronkite was an International Collectivist.
DS> Klinton in office, I'd vote for him. If I wanted Dole in
DS> office, I'd vote for him. The problem is, I don't want
DS> either one of them. Therefore, I not voting for either one
RW> If that's what you want then more power to you.
More political power cast on the pro-gun side.
RW> Someone who might sign a bill repealing the
RW> weapon ban or someone who wouldn't sign it even if
RW> doing so would keep him from the fires of hell?
You haven't been reading all the traffic in the echo. On July 15, Dole
indicated that he would _veto_ a repeal of the AW ban. All this supposed
pro-gun stuff that Dole stands for, is just being made up by you, so you
can go out & vote for an anti-gunner.
RW> still need to look at it realistically. Either Dole or
RW> Clinton is going to win in November. Which one of the
RW> two (neither is NOT an option) would you want to see in
RW> office?
DS> don't see him as any better than Klinton. I'm hoping that
RW> I do. For one thing he will want to get his VP elected
RW> in 2000 and therefore he will want to keep the
RW> republican voters happy.
His VP is an anti-gunner . . . .
RW> Seeing as most pro gunners
RW> are republicans that will mean, in the very least, not
RW> voting for more gun control.
What do you call the Brady Bill, that Dole wrote himself? Again, you are
just making this up. Dole's anti-gun voting record is just as bad as
Klinton's or Metzenbaum's.
... We made an ARRANGEMENT. We LET that bill (Brady) PASS. - Sen Bob Dole
