Since there's been no replies, I'll assume my post of a couple weeks ago never got broadcast. So, here it is again: Thanks to all who helped code v4. It's the first OS/2 version that has me working as comfortably as v2.1aDOS (which was in daily use here until a month ago). But (of course there's always a but), I do have a couple problems and suggestions. This is probably a matter of my configuration, but I have a monochrome monitor and the blinking cursor bar is driving me batty. I renamed the mono.col file to msged.col and uncommented the include line in the config file. So how do I get a non-blinking reverse video cursor bar? When replying to a private message in any message base other than NetMail, the reply defaults to CraLoc. Shouldn't the Private/Public status of the reply default to the flag status of the original message that is being replied to? When reading a message base in reverse order, if you delete a message you are reshown the message above the deleted message in the list instead of continuing down the list (reading backwards in a base of 30 messages from the highest you'd see 30, 29, 28 - delete 28 and you'll see 29 (renumbered as 28) instead of 27). In v2.1a if you pressed Alt-A when viewing a message header list (Alt-L) in the BadMsgs, Dupes and NetMail areas the header list would toggle displaying on/off the node numbers in the To/From fields. I found this feature very helpful in order to do a quick scan of the BadMsgs/Dupes to see if any were coming from my downlinks (vs. the daily dupe load via Planet Connect). For the record, I'm using the MSGED4PM executables. Thanks again to all for v4. I have finally retired one of the two DOS programs that I felt that I couldn't function without.
