        I can see where this would be handy if folks would remember to remove 
the unrelated lines from a message, but if it did that, it would not be long 
before we'd be seeing 20 line quotes with an "I Agree!" reply tacked on. If 
you want a local editor for YOURSELF, set up something like TimEd or the 
like. It does that by default.
        I've used the FSE's on several versions of Max, and its always been 
like 4 lines at a time.... so if you want more you'll no doubt have to go to 
an external editor, IceEdit used to get mentioned a lot although I've never 
used it.
