Williams pair impressive in practice

(10-Jul-98) - Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Jacques Villeneuve have given the
beleagured Williams team a much-needed confidence boost with third and
fourth fastest times in the second practice session at the British Grand
Prix.

Frentzen's time was just four tenths adrift of the dominant McLarens of
Mika Hakkinen and David Coulthard, while Villeneuve was less than a tenth
adrift of his team-mate.

"The car has improved following our test here last week," said
Frentzen, "Being third in second practice is a good feeling but
tomorrow afternoon is when it counts."

"It's difficult to judge on a Friday," said Villeneuve, "Ask
me tomorrow, but the car feels better than it did at Magny-Cours."
