   There are African Cichlids, however others are from like
   central americas (fire Mouth), convicts (Central America)
   Flag cichlid (So America..ie Brazil etc, as is festivum, festae,
   oscar, key hole, angels, Discus, the dempsey is a So America cichlid.
   The fact cichlids are found in Central and south america and in
   africa with a ocean between supports the idea south america/central
   and africa were together long ago.
