Terry was heard muttering to Paul Nixon
about Letter to Harry Browne
TS> Think we can pressure the NRA to exert itself to help get Harry
TS> treated fairly?
PN>
PN> Nope.
TS> Then why is Dole (again) shifting to mimic Harry a little more?
'Cause Dole will tell you anything to get elected: he's proven the ole
"How do you know when a politician is lying? His lips are moving."
cliche.
TS> Are you suggesting libertarians become Republicans as opposed to
TS> Libertarians?
PN>
PN> "Libertarian Republican" is not necessarily oxymoronic.
TS> Note my intentional use of alternate cases. With both caps, it is.
TS> Without Libertarian capitalized, I'd like to think that made sense,
TS> though the RNC platform manipulations so far suggest otherwise.
Noted. To address your original question, to which my last comment was
non-responsive: given the nature of politics at the national level,
then yes, I'd suggest that libertarians either become Republicans or
that libertarians become LIbertarians and align that party, en bloc, to
control the outcome of major races. If Libertarians go off and vote
third party then those votes will have no influence on the national
races.
Some folks say that's okay. I believe it's unrealistic.
