I only ever heard about his mom. Suspect Dad wasn't around. No one made his
parents or him pay up anything.

She was a ward of the state. Remember that she was staying at my parents'
house in the first place since my mom liked to help out the Bureau of
Children's Services with homeless children.

No, I think she may have continued in school. I am not sure if she finished
high school as she then went back to the house she had been living in
previously. Why she left that house in the first place I'm not clear on.
