Recently, a Christian friend wrote to me and asked me if I
could point her to hard copy publications and other sources
which discuss elitist organizations and secret societies
such as the Bilderberg group, powerful banking families like
the Rockefellers and the Rothschilds, the Council on Foreign
Relations, the Trilateral Commission, the Federal Reserve,
the Skull and Bones society of Yale University, and lastly,
the Freemasons. As you may already know, there is a widely
held belief within certain conspiracy theory circles, that
the aforementioned organizations, societies and individuals
have as their primary and ultimate goal, a New World Order
which will be governed by a powerful One World Government.

To what degree these entities are each involved in the birth
of a New World Order, I honestly do not know; but it should
be rather obvious to any informed person at this late date,
that a New World Order is clearly almost upon us. The rapid
development, growth and promotion of globalization is clear
evidence of this fact. Various financial institutions, such
as the International Monetary Fund, the World Economic Forum,
the World Bank, the World Trade Organization, and similar
institutions, all herald the arrival of a new economic order
which will undoubtedly be global in scope.

Furthermore, as I explain in some of my other articles which
are dedicated to the discussion of the 666 -- or Mark of the
Beast -- such as "Mondex And The Mark Of The Beast", "666:
The Patience Of The Saints", "666: More Proof Of The Coming
System" and "666: VeriChip, Somark And Microsoft Unmasked!",
as a Bible-believing Christian, I have absolutely no doubt
that in coming years, the world will experience a tyrannical,
demon-inspired, global government such as it has never seen
before. God's Word informs us that this world government will
not only be blessed by, as well as empowered by, Satan, but
that its source of power will in large part be economic power.
In the Book of Revelation, the Apostle John clearly warned us
about this oppressive government with the following words:

"And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor,
free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in
their foreheads: And that no man might buy or sell, save he
that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number
of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding
count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a
man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six."
Revelation 13:16-18, KJV

One point of interest is the fact that U.S. President George
H. W. Bush, and his son, U.S. President George W. Bush, were
"Bonesmen"; that is, they were members of Skull and Bones at
Yale. The possible significance of this -- in the context of
secret societies and conspiracy theories -- is that George H.
W. Bush is sometimes credited with being responsible for the
modern popularization of the phrase "New World Order", as a
result of a speech he gave to a joint session of Congress in
September of 1990, entitled "Toward A New World Order". The
purpose of his speech was to acquire authorization for aerial
bombardments and land-based assaults against Iraq during the
opening salvos of the Gulf War, following Saddam Hussein's
invasion of Kuwait in August of that same year. During the
speech, President George H. W. Bush stated:

"Out of these troubled times, our fifth objective -- a new
world order -- can emerge; a new era, freer from the threat
of terror, stronger in the pursuit of justice, and more
secure in the quest for peace. An era in which the nations of
the world, East and West, North and South, can prosper and
live in harmony . . . A world where the rule of law supplants
the rule of the jungle. A world in which nations recognize
the shared responsibility for freedom and justice. A world
where the strong respect the rights of the weak."

What I find interesting about the Persian Gulf War, is that
if George W. Bush -- the son -- had taken heed to his own
father's wisdom, the United States would not now be deeply
embroiled in an almost seven-year bloody war in Iraq, which
has cost hundreds of thousands of lives -- including Iraqis
and foreigners -- has destroyed the government, economy and
infrastructure of a sovereign nation, and has resulted in
untold hardship and suffering for those who are left to pick
up the pieces. On top of the human suffering, it has been an
extremely costly war which has run into the billions of U.S.
dollars; money which could have been spent on much better
causes, such as helping the sick, the elderly and the poor.

As you may recall, when President George H. W. Bush suddenly
withdrew American forces after one hundred hours of direct
engagement in Iraq, he became the target of a considerable
amount of criticism from the warmongers who felt that the
coalition forces should not only have pushed all the way to
Baghdad, but they should have ousted Saddam Hussein from
power as well. In response to his critics, in 1998, Bush Sr.,
together with Brent Scowcroft -- who had been Bush's National
Security Advisory -- published "A World Transformed". In the
book, they state that one of the reasons why the order wasn't
given to continue to Baghdad, and overthrow Saddam Hussein,
was because it "would have incurred incalculable human and
political costs". They also state "We would have been forced
to occupy Baghdad and, in effect, rule Iraq". A few sentences
later, they speculate that "Had we gone the invasion route,
the United States could still conceivably be an occupying
power in a bitterly hostile land. It would have been a
dramatically different -- and perhaps barren -- outcome".

So as you can see, President George H. W. Bush realized that
if he were to give American forces the go-ahead to proceed to
Baghdad, and to take down Saddam Hussein, not only would such
actions result in the serious consequence of destabilizing
the nation, but they might result in American military forces
being bogged down in Iraq for years to come; which, ironically,
is exactly what is now occurring with the second Bush's war.

What a tragedy! Everything that George H. W. Bush knew not to
do during "Operation Desert Storm", President George W. Bush
-- his son -- went ahead and did twelve years later, like a
proud, stubborn son who thinks that he knows better; and the
tragic results have been exactly as Bush Senior had foreseen
them: a nation destabilized to the point of civil war, human
suffering affecting all concerned, strong hatred towards the
USA in Iraq and around the world, and a bloody, violent war
that has lasted almost seven years, and which has drained the
coffers of the USA, and of other countries as well. I suspect
that once all of the coalition forces have withdrawn from the
country -- as most of them have already done, or are planning
to do soon -- there is going to be one terrible, bloody civil
war as the Shi'ites, Sunnis and Kurds battle for supremacy,
and for control of Iraq's natural resources -- primarily the
oil.

If one sect does manage to overpower the other two, I suspect
that it will form a tyrannical government which will be every
bit as cruel and oppressive as that of Saddam Hussein. Ethnic
cleansing will be the order of the day, as it already is now.
The only other possible outcome that I can foresee, is that
Iraq will be ripped apart into three smaller nations, which
may possibly choose to work together as a loose confederacy,
while still retaining their own sovereignty.
