Shaping: I recommend Aleene's fabric stiffener You will need a stryofoam
cone (I use a 2" tall cone, plastic wrap, a small amount of cotton, and 6
stainless steel pins. You may either place angel in a plastic bag with
stiffener, soak, and squeeze out excess, or pin and shape, and with a clean
white cloth or sponge, saturate after pinning. I prefer to pin my projects,
and then wet them, using a natural sponge.
Wrap mold in plastic wrap. Place skirt over it, and pin, pulling points
down. Roll a small amount of cotton in a strip of plastic wrap, thread thru
wings. Shape the points of the wings, rounding the wings slightly, and
having the center point "centered" on top.
Shape the halo into a circle, using a pin point to pull loops out to
points. Lightly moisten head. You do NOT want to soak this, just moisten
lightly with stiffener to give it a coat. Let dry thouroughly (usually 8
hours) gently remove from form. Excess stiffener will dry clear, and can be
removed with a clean toothbrush. To hang, run a length of elastic cord
(silver or gold for ornaments) thru head, to form loop. Place halo over
loop, and hot glue into position on head..
