Roger, trust ME on this one, the federal Canadian government doens't get
involved in anything unless (a) someone is about to get killed, or (b)
they stand to lose revenue from it. Even the second one is in debatable.
They just don't have the financial resources to investigate every
threat or disturbance, especially via computer. We have this funny
thing in law up here. It is accepted that the courts, and subsequenltly
the various levels of governments, don't get involved in trivial
matters. And quite frankly, computer based name calling falls within
that catagory, hell, minor assualts fall in that catagory.( yes there is
case law on that.
Perhaps someone gave you some mis-information, but rest
assured, the government up doesn't get involved in computer tiffs .
