Now you've exposed yourself to be just what I've suspected for months; a
liar who is unable to deal honestly with the facts... So sad.

No, Cook presented no evidence that either his or Kleck's work was
flawed. He presented supposition there MIGHT be a problem with false
positives but failed to address the far more likely problem of false
negatives.

If you would like, I can provide you with the entire NSPOF study as
published by the Department of Justice. What this study showed was that
by using the most modern survey techniques available, Cook and Ludwig
estimated a range of DGUs that far exceeded anything Kleck had reported.
This forced Cook & Ludwig to take another, more objective look at
Kleck's work. According to Cook & Ludwig:

"A somewhat more conservative NSPOF estimate is
shown in the column of exhibit 7 that reflects the
application of the criteria used by Kleck and Gertz
to identify "genuine" defensive gun uses..."

It's truly ashame that antis like Cook and Wolfgang can be
intellectually honest and you can't, Jim. That's not an insult nor an
ad hominem, just an honest appraisal of your position when compared to
Cook, Ludwig and Wolfgang.

talk.politics.guns' resident hypocrite admits to using a gun
by proxy

"So for me and my family, all we need for protection
against crime is some basic knowledge of where not to
travel, and how to travel there if we have to. For
instance, I've had to go into the Cabrini and Taylor Homes
in Chicago a number of times, but because they are
high-crime areas, I go in daylight, to meet someone I know,
with a bodyguard."
