Hi Roy, BV> Roy would be proud, I got them to stick two lights in the roof cavity BV> with a switch right next to the man-hole. I've got a double GPO up BV> there too. RM> Yay!! You won't regret it, trust me I do...The double GPO is full already. I'll have to replace it with a quad once they hand over. BV> I had a close look at where the light switches were as you moved BV> through the house, and made some of them 3-way and one 4-way instead BV> of just 2-way. RM> Hmm. It's easy to use a simple spdt switch to do an even number (2 RM> way, 4 way, 6 way), but to do odd numbers needs 2 pole switches. RM> I'm out of touch here - are 2 poles readily available? I don't really know. I guess so. He didn't say anything. RM> Are there enough power points in the kitchen? Yes. RM> and are they in the right places? Checked and Verified. RM> We put a double inside the appliance cupboard, and a double at the RM> other end of the sink benchtop. In practice, the first gpo is RM> overpopulated (it shouldabina 4), the second gets used only by the RM> vacuum cleaner. She's got two doubles that are going to be quads. RM> Which reminds me - did you consider a built in vacuum cleaner? Yeah. For about 2 seconds. There's nothing to them. They are basically one of those VAX or drum type cleaners that they stick in the garage. We simply made sure that there were power points to cover it. We've got power points everywhere. Two singles were put in the hallway, one at each end, specifically for the vacuum cleaner. RM> I saw a buy-me on tv the other day that nearly converted me. There RM> are two main pluses: (a) the hose connected to the bits you push RM> around is big, 9 metres long (according to them...)(and I dunno RM> where it gets stored when not in use) ROFL...Obviously you haven't seen many of the late night commercials. EVERYTHING folds up and packs away neatly for storage in a cupboard or under the bed. The cupboard must be empty, and your bed might need to be 4' from the ground, but if you try hard enough... :) Cheers, Brenton @EOT: ---* Origin: TestPoint (3:711/934.7) SEEN-BY: 711/934 712/610 624 @PATH: 711/934 |
