| subject: | Long file name support? |
Hi folks, I'm in the midst of setting up Bink/Squish/Seal/Max on an OS/2 platform and have a question about long file names for Squish message areas. According to the Squish docs, the root file name for a Squish-style message area must be 8 characters or less, but in SEAL.INI (according to Seal v.50's docs) if "LongNames" is enabled, then Seal will set up root files with names greater than 8 characters. In fact, a Squish-format message area is shown as an example (p. 19). So, before I go and start trimming down a long list of area names when I may not need to, I thought I'd ask about it here. Anybody know about this for sure? Thanks, Mike --- Synchronet+SBBSecho v1.22* Origin: The Unspun Truth -- Paradigm Shift!
