Do you mean that there haven't been any updates to the engine, at all, or that there have been, but they're not redistributable? Thanks for the tip, Ben; I just found this, in POSSHORT: NAVC10.EXE 1,315,230 10-23-99 Free Norton Anti-Virus Command-line Scanner It's getting a little 'long in the tooth', though. Thanks for the offer (and, for the .DAT updates ); that's exactly what I've done here, (with NAV 2002). I have it working just fine, but NAVDX (version 1.0) is almost two years old, as you can see: EXCLUDEL DAT 64 06-18-01 6:00a EXCLUDEL.DAT EXCLUDE DAT 1,036 06-18-01 6:00a EXCLUDE.DAT NAVDX EXE 11,447 06-18-01 6:00a NAVDX.EXE NAVDX OVL 716,300 06-18-01 6:00a NAVDX.OVL NAVOPTS DAT 2,914 06-18-01 6:00a NAVOPTS.DAT NAVSTART DAT 447 06-18-01 6:00a NAVSTART.DAT NAVENG EXP 98,048 04-03-01 1:00a NAVENG.EXP TCDEFS DAT 13 04-25-03 1:00a TCDEFS.DAT CATALOG DAT 2,061 04-25-03 1:00a CATALOG.DAT NAVEX15 EXP 811,168 04-25-03 1:00a NAVEX15.EXP TCSCAN7 DAT 13 04-25-03 1:00a TCSCAN7.DAT TCSCAN8 DAT 13 04-25-03 1:00a TCSCAN8.DAT TCSCAN9 DAT 13 04-25-03 1:00a TCSCAN9.DAT TINF DAT 453 04-25-03 1:00a TINF.DAT SCRAUTH DAT 72,432 04-25-03 1:00a SCRAUTH.DAT TECHNOTE TXT 875 04-25-03 1:00a TECHNOTE.TXT VIRSCAN INF 106,236 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN.INF VIRSCAN1 DAT 776,994 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN1.DAT VIRSCAN2 DAT 530,717 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN2.DAT VIRSCAN3 DAT 141,744 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN3.DAT VIRSCAN4 DAT 311,828 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN4.DAT VIRSCAN5 DAT 70,608 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN5.DAT VIRSCAN6 DAT 367,040 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN6.DAT VIRSCAN7 DAT 728,467 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN7.DAT VIRSCAN8 DAT 757,226 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN8.DAT VIRSCAN9 DAT 666,660 04-25-03 1:00a VIRSCAN9.DAT VIRSCANT DAT 32 04-03-01 1:00a VIRSCANT.DAT WHATSNEW TXT 27,082 04-25-03 1:00a WHATSNEW.TXT TINFIDX DAT 148 04-25-03 1:00a TINFIDX.DAT TINFL DAT 1,957 04-25-03 1:00a TINFL.DAT TSCAN1 DAT 15,274 04-25-03 1:00a TSCAN1.DAT TSCAN1HD DAT 1,179 04-25-03 1:00a TSCAN1HD.DAT NCSACERT TXT 6,479 04-25-03 1:00a NCSACERT.TXT UPDATE TXT 19,067 04-25-03 1:00a UPDATE.TXT ZDONE DAT 224 04-25-03 1:00a ZDONE.DAT (35 files) Version differences aside, do you think I've missed anything? BR> Here, I scan Downloads with McAfee, F-Prot and NAV (because I can). The first two have seen excellent service, here; but, after I read the last DOS scanner report from the U of Hamburg (that was a great link, Ben; thanks again), I decided to add NAV to the arsenal. I had never previously considered NAV, because it was so bad, in the past. I realize now that I should've read the reports more frequently, and made the addition earlier.
